The objectives of the work package are the following :
To undertake actions to manage the project and to make sure that it is implemented as planned. This includes stimulating effective exchange of information, follow-up of the activities, budget management, guidance and interaction with the partners, advisory groups and the EAHC.
This WP aims to ensure that the Consortium delivers the project expected outputs, deliverables, in due time and budget.
The Coordination Team will be in charge of the contractual, financial and knowledge management, including reporting to the EAHC and budget consumption monitoring.
The NANOGENOTOX management structures and mechanisms (General Assembly, Steering Committee, and Coordination Team) were put in place and continue to work. The kick-off meeting of the JA took place in Maisons-Alfort, France on 18-19 March 2010 in the presence of all associated partners and 5 collaborating partners. Two General Assembly meetings have also been organised (one in Rome, Italy on 29 Sept. and 1st Oct. 2010, and the second one in Nancy, France on 7 & 8 April 2011). The Steering Committee (executive level), composed of all the WP leaders, had six meetings (teleconference or face-to-face) since the beginning of the action.
The NANOGENOTOX Consortium Agreement was prepared by the Coordinator and discussed with all the associated partners. Its purpose is to specify the relationships among the partners, in particular concerning the organisation of the work, the management of the JA and the rights and obligations of the partners. It was signed by all the associated partners.
A Confidentiality Agreement was prepared and signed by the NANOGENOTOX collaborating partners in order to ensure the confidentiality of the work.
The “Handbook for the Joint Action” was prepared by the Coordination Team and sent to all partners. It includes tools and templates dedicated to the administrative and financial management of the JA and is regularly updated.
The first interim technical and financial implementation report was prepared and sent in May 2011 to the Executive Agency for Health and (EAHC).
